What tyre size do you require?
The exact size of a tyre can be found on its sidewall.
The following chart shows you how to read a tyre size.
1. Overall tire width in mm
2. Ratio of tire height to tire width in%
3. Tire design: ''R'' = radial tires (widely used), ''D'' or ''-'' = diagonal tires (rare)
4. Required rim diameter for this tire in inches
5. Key figure for tire load capacity
6. Key figure for the permissible maximum speed (speed index)
7. Motorcycle tire identification, tires only approved for motorcycles
8. DOT labeling
9. Date of manufacture of the tire (week of production / year of production)

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.

Have used the tyres both on road and off road. The tyres are more capable than I am as a rider therefore dealt easily with everything I have put them through with ease.

Tyres were purchased to do some green lane riding. These are very suitable for the purpose and handle as good as road tyres when in the tarmac. Only downside is that you get around 3000 miles out of a rear tyre and it’s done!

This tyre has been great. After initial fitting the steering was a bit strange but after 50-100 miles it felt like a road tyre. Great off road and one of the best knobbly tyres on the road. Done 10500km on the tyre, only have the tkc80 on the front. I have a 70 rocks on the rear. I believe the front will do another rear. Tyre was great but the delivery time from the provider was shocking

Bought the bike with this, I was happy everywhere with it, especially on countryside tracks and easy forest tracks, it seems created for this. Only problem was in city, when I needed hard breaking in dry asphalt, it had stopping power but at the almost-stop it was skidding ahead with the shriek noise. Never had the courage to break hard on wet.

I have used these excellent ME22's on Honda a CB125RS, C90 and now my 125cc Honda SS50 - they are the best tyre I have found for grip / confidence both wet and dry - period! I have tried Michelin M45 etc but these Metzeler's suit me best. The confidence they give me allows me to ride hard to the limit of the conditions - what more could I ask? The rears don't last forever, but i'm fussy about tread depth so on with another.

This is an update of my prev. report of 09/11/2010: finished after 10000km, was very good, ordered the same one for rear.

Excellent in dry conditions, on asphalt also on minimally maintained side-roads(gravel and so on). But on wet asphalt is a little bit skiddy, especially when braking. This was not about panic braking! It gave me shivers a few times. Price/Performance very good.

Russian side-car bike. I understand most users see 5000km on the pusher tire. I have ran this tire at 40psi and will run the next at 35psi. I think this will give me at least another 500km. Usage has been 95% paved road. Sand/beach and gravel the remaining 5%. I ride aggressively. Steering tire has approx 45% life left and sidecar tire is at 99%. All tires installed at same time.
