21.02.2026 from Alan Marshall
Fabulous tyres and exceptional wear, considering the price point of these, especially given my driving style. I'll definitely see over 20000 miles on these tyres which I find remarkable on a heavy car with over 400hp. Could I have better grip, sure for twice the price. Do you really need it, even for having fun on UK roads, no! They are soft rubber though, so you'll know if your alignment is out, these didn't last long on my Merc V Class!
08.08.2020 from Dean
Doing relatively high mileage of over 40k every year, I've been through various different premium tyres over the years. Let me tell you, in the 5k miles on these tyres so far I'd say they're pound for pound up there with premium tyres for everyday driving. I've found them to be really good in the wet, no major drama with aquaplaning and my heavy right foot has encountered no issues in cornering. Strangely, I've found that I'm more confident with these in the wet than dry- they tend to be slightly unpredictable when pushing on. Not a massive issue by any means and shouldn't put anybody off, it's just highlighted by my spirited driving style! Wear seems to be decent so far, but as I said I've only done 5k so far so too early to tell. All in all, great value for money and worth a try. On 20's, The Goodyear Eagle F1s that I had on previously were £160 each, whereas I got these for £115. 200 quid saved, and genuinely no worse performance. Well done Viking!
18.10.2019 from W Edbury
The car feels very safe cornering and braking is very good , it drives straight no wandering overall I’m very satisfied with the set of Tyres.

I thought about trying to get a refund. They make a terrible rumbling noise is one or two psi off optimum. Never had a tyre do that before.

04.01.2022 from colin
I have tried virtually every chinese built tyre over the years on my classic mini and they dont last more than 5000 miles. The rubber compound is too soft, I get through at least one set of tyres a year. They were cheap but are now getting more expensive. Tyres from mytyres are shipped from germany, not oxford, and mine took 6 weeks to arrive...

Norwegian innovation in Viking summer tyres

Viking Tyres was founded in 1931, and is the largest tyre brand in Norway. The company’s research and development focuses on becoming the original fitted tyres on many vehicles as a means of boosting brand reputation and credibility in the industry. Currently, cars in the Volvo, Opel, Volkswagen and Ford brands are fitted with Viking tyres as standard, and the company is partly owned by Continental for that added seal of approval.

The notable Viking summer tyres

The Viking ProTech HP is a balanced, high-spec tyre suitable for sports vehicles. It has superb handling in both the wet and the dry, thanks to the rigid tread and water displacement properties. It also distributes pressure evenly throughout, which minimises wear and increases MPG. Alternatively, the CityTech II stands as an attractive economy tyre that boasts low rolling resistance for high mileage. Aquaplaning is resisted by the modern tread, and low road noise level assures maximum driving comfort for the user.

Viking’s latest offering, and its current flagship product, is the FourTech all-season tyre. It will help you to further save money as it is the only set of tyres you will need all year, and it performs to a high level in wet and dry conditions. The tyre is strong, helping with solid braking and handling on the water, and aquaplaning behaviour is controlled for short stopping distances. And, unlike most summer tyres, the FourTech has excellent snow traction to ensure even winter extremes don’t compromise performance.

Viking summer tyres are:

  • Strong: the robust, durable tyres in the range deliver high performance even in the most demanding condition.
  • Sporty: even on high-performance vehicles, Viking delivers outstanding performance.
  • Safe: state-of-the-art technologies help to guarantee protection you can rely on.

Norwegian efficiency fuels Viking

Viking has worked hard to cement a position as a reliable, quality tyre brand that won’t decimate your bank balance. Don’t think that their lower prices mean Viking cuts corners on quality – they deliver high performance at affordable prices. At www.tyres-guru.co.uk Viking is one of the budget tyre choices that gets our seal of approval.
