These tyres won Autoexpress winter testing award and it's easy to see why, I've driven in deep snow with no loss of grip or skidding. I hate snow but these have given me a new level of confidence. I've never failed to get to work or home. The only problem I have had is other road users blocking roads with summer tyres or low profile tyres on. Yes they cost more but they are worth it. I have tried other brands but find these the best. I buy two each year which I put on the front and the older ones in the back, with no loss of traction.

Firstly, I cannot comment on what they are like in snow as where I live in the UK had one snowy day this winter. I look on winter tyres as like insurance: I pay for them but hope I never have to use them much. They did absolutely fine in the wet and sub-zero conditions which I did encounter and I felt safe having the right tyres for the conditions. This is not my first set of Contis and won't be my last.

These tyres are the dogs. No snow or ice this year to leave feedback. After 6 months driving over the winter months, and 3600 km's, the wear was only 1mm on the back, and 1/2 mm on the front. Truly outstanding. I won't need to change these tyres for years. Well done Continental.

Great grip. No problems driving in snow & ice, even going up hills. Felt like driving in normal road conditions. Previous winter, before I changed to winter tyres, car had no grip whatsoever, couldn't even manage a slight incline. Continental winter tyres are amazing, money well spent!

Kleber winter tyres – the French revolutionaries

Kleber is a manufacturer originating in France and founded back in 1910. It is known for revolutionary developments in the tyre industry, like the 1951 invention of a tyre that incorporates an inner tube. With Kleber, you always get elegance, safety and superb durability, and most recently they patented a new water drainage system that is applied to their recent winter tyres. They are frequently used as the original tyres for cars from brands like Volkswagen, Peugot, Renault and Suzuki, so their pedigree is well and truly established.

Kleber winter tyres to explore:

The Kleber Krisalp HP3 is a great all-round tyre for passenger cars, with optimised blades for superb snow traction. The directional tread delivers excellent performance on typical winter conditions like ice and rain, and the V-shaped grooves combine with the Toboggan drainage channels to disperse water and slush and resist aquaplaning. The rubber compound maintains supple flexibility when temperatures drop, so overall you get superior winter performance.

There is also Krisalp HP3 SUV optimised for a fantastic SUV driving experience. It has most of the features of the HP3, shown in testing to perform particularly well in wet conditions both on straight roads and when cornering. The groove walls are reinforced for added stability and driving comfort to deliver a specialised functionality for SUV driving. And with low noise and extra short braking distances, this winter tyre provides comfort and safety for your winter driving.

Proud milestones of the Kleber history:

  • 1910 – BFGoodrich produces its first tyre in France; this would later give birth to Kleber.
  • 1951 – Kleber develops the first tyre fitted with an air chamber.
  • 2000 – The Dynaxer tyre was created, featuring the directional structure that became the benchmark for winter tyres.

Kleber winter tyres are high performers in the mid range category

You can find the Krisalp HP3 and the HP3 SUV, along with many other tyres www.tyres-guru.co.uk. We stock a comprehensive range of tyres, and Kleber specialises in quality tyres for passenger cars and SUVs.
