Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Original equipment quality: optimum adjustment to the vehicle
Tyres with a special OEM marking on the sidewall, e.g. "MO" for Mercedes-Benz, were developed in cooperation with a specific car manufacturer and the tyre industry. These tyres have been homologated by the vehicle manufacturer and are a perfect match for a specific model. They have been specially designed to highlight or further improve the performance characteristics of the car in question, thus representing the culmination of a state-of-the-art fine-tuning process that perfectly complements the latest technological developments in the automotive industry. Tyres with manufacturer's markings can of course also be used on other vehicles.

Have tried lots of different snow tyres over years and put these on my 3 series touring to replace the Pirelli zero’s. If anything I thought they ran quieter than the zero’s and plenty of grip in both dry and wet conditions. Used the in snow as well and kept everything moving which is all you want from a snow tyre.

As my Volvo is a rear wheel drive automatic I always use winter tyres. Previously had Goodyear ultra grip 9 and still have them on the front. New Goodyear ultra grip 3 on rear. We're great in the recent snow, where front wheel drives were getting stuck, no doubt on summer tyres.

Amazing tyres, grip is excellent, comfort and noise are excellent. the only thing i can fault is that the wear isn't anything special. Down to 4mm after 6000 miles. My tyre size is 245/35R18 but tyretest will not let me add the correct size above.

Excellent tyres chosen via the reviews by Jon @ tyrereviews.co.uk - they faired very well against the likes of the Michelin PS5s and at the time of buying (Feb2023) the Goodyears were £250 cheaper than the PS5s; but more or less neck & neck with them in the tyre review! That swung the decision for me, more so with the money saving!

Relatively comfortable especially considering that is a runflat tire. The tire tread still retains its original groove and design but has significant wear points on both edge and there are some small tire detachments. In the few rains we have in Greece it never had a hadling problem or breaking and did not create any feeling of insecurity. in short it is a good quiet tire ROF tire, comfortable and efficient in fast driving.

Smooth and absolutely lovely on snow, sensational grip. Great feel of safety on wet roads. Used to drive with Pirelli Sottozero 3 winter-tyres which are great too however these GoodYear UltraGrip Performance + winter-tyres are a new level of tyres.

I drive an automatic which is terrible for grip with only the slightest snowfall, and I’m very cautious in sub zero icy weather. However with the UltraGrip Performance + tyres I was full of confidence every time I drove in sub zero weather conditions. Breaking distances were further than summer tyres, as expected, but nothing to worry about. Car performance was very good and fuel consumption while motorway cruising was better than summer tyres! There was no snowfall this year so I cannot comment.

Big improvement on the OEM fitted brand. More refined, quieter and more confident grip in both wet and dry. Fitted full set; 215/45R17 in front and 245/40R17 in rear, as standard spec. Only driven on road (A and B roads and some motorway), no tracking. Hard to fault for this purpose.

I drive fast and furious when required or slow and deliberate in slow traffic! I used these tyres on my 5 series BMW 525iSE and were superb! Now on Mrs Peugeot 308 hdi and pretty good!

Overall, a very good RF tyre. Cabin noise has reduced significantly since changing to all 4 tyres being the same. In wet conditions, I have got as much confidence as there seems to be a little movement on the tread so makes you feel a little uneasy in bends.

I cannot say whether they would be the tyre of choice when replacement is necessary. t

I bought these tyres as wanted a budget sport tyre for our recently purchased vauxhall Insignia, so got a pair from Oponeo. They sent Sport 2's which are a Chinese made model. Have been generally happy with these as been on some long & many short trips in last year. They have given confidence inspiring performance through all weathers & never given me reason to regret buying them. They wear well too as still lots of tread left. Recommended...
