Summer tyres - optimal grip guaranteed!
On dry roads or mild weather, your tyres have to face some increased demands and must always meet safety standards. Compared to winter tyres, the rubber mixture of the summer tyres is harder, even in high temperatures. Default rolling resistance and wear are smaller, resulting in a greater lifespan, comfort and increased stability. Choose now from our offer your summer tyres at an affordable price. Our portfolio includes a wide range of tyre brands

Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

/
SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.

Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.

Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!

Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.

Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.

Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Tyres optimised for electric vehicles.
Tyre developed for electric vehicles. These tyres can also be used without hesitation on vehicles with other drive systems.

Original equipment quality: optimum adjustment to the vehicle
Tyres with a special OEM marking on the sidewall, e.g. "MO" for Mercedes-Benz, were developed in cooperation with a specific car manufacturer and the tyre industry. These tyres have been homologated by the vehicle manufacturer and are a perfect match for a specific model. They have been specially designed to highlight or further improve the performance characteristics of the car in question, thus representing the culmination of a state-of-the-art fine-tuning process that perfectly complements the latest technological developments in the automotive industry. Tyres with manufacturer's markings can of course also be used on other vehicles.

The tire works quite well on normal asphalt, but on dirt roads the lateral grip is poor. The tire is loud on the highway. The tire wears out really quickly, so I won't buy it again.
02.01.2025 from matheos
These tires are good, but for me, it is not because they are not 195/65/15. they are 195/64/15. So I have problems claiming a ramp because the car find under !!!
18.01.2024 from Rick
Never before had tyres only last 6500kms on my WRX thought it was my wheel alignment had that checked and it was fine massive camber ware when I'm only running 0.5 neg and rear tyres are at less then 50% left so definitely would not recommend at all cheap yes gets you outta trouble but not worth it

13.07.2021 from GK
I got rid of these tyres on Week 26 of Year 2021 (2621). My Petlas Progreen PT525 tyres were purchased in Singapore in December 2020. They were manufactured in Week 34 of Year 2020 (3420). In just half a year of usage, covering a distance of 14000km, less than 1 year from manufacturing date, they started developing cracks on the sidewalls, similar to those that you would see only on tyres 5 years or older. Either the rubber was not suitable for Singapore climate resulting in the rubber drying out and "dry rotting", or there was some serious QC deficiency in the manufacturing process. For safety reasons, they have since been replaced and thrown away. Such a shame considering the tyres provided decent grip in dry and wet, though the road noise and comfort were average. Those of you who are running on Petlas, suggest you check the sidewalls for cracks. Will NEVER buy nor recommend Petlas tyres to anyone again in future.

Summer tyres 185-65-R15 – Performance and stability in the dry and the wet

Summer tyres 185-65-R15 are designed to function best when the warmer summer weather is acting on the rubber compound and the air. This range of tyres is designed to perform at different max speeds, ranging from 190 km/h up to around 210 km/h. The options boast different technologies, designs and materials that have strengths like short braking distances in the wet and dry, low noise for increased comfort, and even reduced rolling resistance for optimal fuel efficiency. They are a great choice for popular vehicles like the Honda Civic or BMW 3 Series.

Choosing the right summer tyres 185-65-R15

Once you have determined the correct axle size for your vehicle, the next step is searching through the range of summer tyres available to you. Summer tyres offer maximum safety and performance during the summer months, but your driving style and the types of conditions you face in the summer should dictate which features you prioritise. There are budget-friendly tyres, mid-tier ones, and pricey premiums, and although you generally get what you pay for, there are some great tyres in the budget category, particularly for the average motorist.

Highlights from the summer tyres 185-65-R15 range

  • Yokohama BlueEarth ES32 – a premium summer tyre that performs superbly across the board.
  • Nokian iLine – a mid-range summer tyre that punches well above its weight.
  • Vredestein Hi Trac – a budget tyre with an outstanding price:quality ratio.

At www.tyres-guru.co.uk we have a diverse range of tyres with these dimensons to choose from, be it passenger car tyres or offroad tyres, and we’ll do our very best to help you find the perfect solution for your vehicle.
