Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Very well when snowing, not so good when snow is on the road much more than 10cm. Much better on dry or wet. No big difference between dry or wet road. Very comfort driving cross curvess with normal speed. I am very satisfied.

These are a great tyre at a decent price point, and although the price has been creeping up, I would buy them again. The wet weather handling is especially good and gives real confidence in heavy rain.

Very confidence inspiring tyre sadly all four tyres started cracking badly at the base of the tread grove after only two years. I rated Avon tyres very highly in the past but I would never buy the brand again.

Was warned against this make and model by a friend in kwik fit who said the tyres perish and crack along the tread and I’m aft he was right. I only ignored his advice because they were cheap.

Excellent. Quite quiet, it depends on the road surface and good economy. With extreme care, I managed 70.1 MPG over a 39 mile distance. Boring driving but it IS achievable. Ordinary driving with reasonable care is about 44-48 mpg. Very hard driving and high speed cruising in the lower 90s brings the fuel consumption up to 37 MPG, may be 34mpg. Actual wear is not bad and if you rotate them, even better before buying new ones. These are not a hard compound tyre so they won't wear THAT well, they will squeal quietly around roundabouts on about 50% wear if taking at a fair speed, but not madly. Overall, they are good and have bought them for this car since I bought it new in 2008. Kia Carens aren't bad, not quick but it's had TWO clutches in 50K. This was due to a fault in the alignment of the flywheel. It happened again on and identical Mileage (25K) as the Kia garage only replaced the clutch and plate and NOT the offending DMF (Dual Mass Flywheel.) So KIA, you ripped me off by only doing half a job. On all my cars, the clutches have lasted over 100K, Minimum. Been driving since 1973.

Originally on rear axle for approx 2 k miles, no wear at all. Now on front axle, grip and feedback in wet and dry in great, including on gravelly / light muddy patches in country parking areas and in cold weather. Most impressive aspect of the Vredesteins is the directional stability ( steering centring) and also quietness on the front axle compared to the neatly new Nankang all weather tyres that were on beforehand. No snow this year so not tested on snow! Highly recommended.

All round good tyre, quite noisy on the highway though. Three out of four tyres developed sidewall dents that I read are just a cosmetic defect luckily.

Great predictable tyres, close to the mark on all scores, affordable, dependable grip, good balance of dynamics, compliance and progressive slip when pushed. Because they're NOT asymmetric you can swap them across rims to share out inner shoulder wear and extract a lot more useful mileage. That's a rarity these days, and together with no major weaknesses it makes these tyres a great option.

I changed from ditch finders to these so is a great improvement but these saved my family's life's literally my brakes failed and tyres kept us on the rd when needed apart from that they take the bumps in the rd ok amazing grip in the wet . I can't really comment on wear as it's too early. Recommended
