Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

This is a SNOW tire I don't plan on doing track days with it.. NO it is not as good as my Summer tires in the Dry or Wet it is not made for this it's a SNOW tire give it some slush, Snow, Mild Ice and they are Great. Yup they make some noise thats expected. The trade off I think is fair though they have put a pretty good dent in my fuel milage guess that is the price you have to pay for safety.

To be honest I have not had a chance to use these tyres because mytyres.co.uk took about two months to delver them to my home in the UK so I had to buy some other tyres from my local garage for my MOT. The tyres look fine to me but they are still sat in their packaging unused. mytyres.co.uk however wasted my time and money with multiple phone calls to couriers, their office, and a lot of misinformation and incorrect details from them about what was going on, so I won't be using them again. I was actually shocked at how bad their service was.

Having driven around fields and private roads from age 11, I passed my test at 17 yrs and 4 months. I have driven on 4 continents, raced and rallied for 20 years in the UK and towed a caravan for 35 years. I am now aged 79 yrs and only travel about 6000 miles per year. I choose Uniroyal for it's wet grip versus price, as a form of security against being caught out at my age!

Fitted to the vehicle already when purchased.. They are an adequate budget tyre for perhaps city driving however they are poor in the wet. Lack any feedback in more active driving and in the wet have poor grip and braking performance with significant understeer in even damp conditions with even slightly 'active' driving. I've removed them off the car half worn and replaced with a premium brand as I'm not comfortable with their performance on mainly wet UK roads.

I bought these tires as a cheaper alternative to a Continental tire, because the grip in wet conditions was rated excellent. That seems to be true. This type of tire is designed for lower rolling resistance and increased fuel economy - often that comes with lower wet grip. Not in this case.

The car is one of 3 cars I drive so the annual mileage is low. However I bought this tyre you match the others already on the car. I have always found that these tyres are perfectly adequate for the cars wire wheels and my driving style. I would recommend these tyres for any user.

Definitely the best tyres I've owned to date. I'm driving 28years and always had an issue or two with tyres, so decided to go for all season tyres online so I could see reviews and specs . Bought full set of 4 Rotalla after seeing reviews. I am not an overly cautious driver let's say, and I would take roundabouts at a fair enough speed, previous tyres would struggle on wet days. I instantly felt a huge difference on roundabouts, and grip on breaking on colder mornings . I'm extremely happy with the road grip and performance on sunny days AND colder frosty mornings. My car feels safer to drive for sure. I drive in city, rural and motorway roads regularly so I can say I have tested these tyres fully. At a guess I've done approx 2.5k+ miles on these tyres. Fuel efficiency has improved slightly, but my car is old, so wasnt expecting miracles. I'm changing cars soon and I just hope I can get these tyres or very close to, for the new car. That's how happy I am with them. Only reason I might have not given 5 stars all round is because I cannot judge the noise or fuel based on my own cars age and knowledge of noise level. Highly recommend tho, delighted I took the chance

I have tried virtually every chinese built tyre over the years on my classic mini and they dont last more than 5000 miles. The rubber compound is too soft, I get through at least one set of tyres a year. They were cheap but are now getting more expensive. Tyres from mytyres are shipped from germany, not oxford, and mine took 6 weeks to arrive...

I had no snow this year so have to leave the impression that they do not perform. This false reading is a function of the survey's unintelligent layout/creation!! These are great tyres on Scottish winter(!) roads and I am still using them in summer without obvious wear. My old van will not see another winter so I will never know about their snow-go! Whatever I drive next will have tyres like these if the price is similar. I don't drive fast but I don't brake much and these are like glue in a corner!

My local fitter advised the Nankang's as I was initially looking at BF Goodrich as they have "B" wet grip rating but there were none in the country and no expected delivery. The wet ratings are at summer temps which means that winter Nankang's with a "C" wet rating are much better than the summer Potenza's with an "A" wet rating when the temp is below 7degC. I decided to get some winter tyres after getting stuck the previous winter on Potenza's and discovering that trying to fit snow socks to a Fiesta ST when it's stuck in snow is not possible. This year I did not have much snow and the Potenza's would have coped but the car felt very sure footed. There were many mornings when the temp was below 7deg C and the Nankang's performed very well - much more confident than the Potenza's. Tyres gave very good braking and cornering grip, wet and dry. Slightly noisier than the Potentza's but not overly. Kept the tyres on from Nov-April and when they came off they looked like new. On returning to the Potenza's there is a noticeable improvement in grip, but now the temp is 10degC+ so is expected. Can't comment on the economy as most of the journeys are short and traffic dominates the mpg. I will definitely be refitting them for next winter.
