All season tyres - suitable for all weather conditions
All-season tyres are the perfect combination between summer and winter tyres. All-season tyres impress by their good driving qualities regardless the weather conditions and the road. The specially developed profile of all-season tyres ensures a comfortable drive throughout the whole year. All-season tyres were specifically designed for all weather conditions thus eliminating the need to change the tyres depending on the season. Discover the new alternative to summer and winter tyres: the all-season tyres. We have a wide offer from leading manufacturers at top prices! The all-season tyres designed for winter conditions need to have the "M + S" marking (or M & S, MS). Some models may also have the snowflake symbol. M + S tyres with snowflake symbol meet the higher quality standards.
 
Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Gute Reifen, siehe meine Sternebewertung. Warum ich hier schreibe, hat einen anderen Grund. Der Reifen hat EU Label B für Nässeeigenschaften, was bedeutet, dass der Reifen bei Nässe gut ist. Das trifft meiner Meinung nach zu, er ist gut. Gut ist besser als durchschnittlich und logischweise deutlich besser, als schlecht. Es gibt x Tests, die etwas anderes als das EU Label behaupten und sagen, er sei schlecht. Meine Bitte daher, wer auch immer zuständig ist: entweder das EU Label ist Unfug, oder die Tests. Beides passt bei diesen Reifen nicht zusammen. Vielleicht fallen sie auch sehr unterschiedlich aus oder passen zu manchen Autos gar nicht. Also nochmal mein persönliches Fazit: ich suchte günstige Reifen mit Berge Label, also offizielle Winterreifen, die bei Nässe gut sind. Meine Wahl fiel auf diese Reifen und sie war richtig. Ich kann die Reifen empfehlen.

I have already 12000 km with this tires and the feeling is very good, even drove with 130 on highway on light rain without any problems, drove on ice roads and it was ok. I gave 4 stars on the show grip because I did not test them yet on show... but overall are very good!

Tires keep the vehicle nicely on the road, no traction problems. On ice British roads they perform great no problems stopping or going.

I'll be honest I've never purchased all season or winter tyres before, I've always made do with mid range to premium summer tyres. During winter I've very rarely struggled in snow with summer tyres but after fitting the Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons Gen-3 tyres the performance in snow is night and day, no sliding, very little loss of traction and braking distance is vastly reduced. These tyres are fantastic, it's too soon to comment on wear rate which will possibly play a factor in if I purchase again but so far so good. I would highly recommend them too anyone.

Excellent grip on black iced roads during the winter period. Also very good grip on wet greasy roads after both light and heavy rain. Always feel in control. An excellent tyre and so far the wear is negligible.

Unbelievable grip in freezing winter conditions. Good grip in all conditions. They last longer than other premium tyres which more than accounts for their relatively high price. ps 'your feedback' section, its Braking not Breaking :)

Because of the damp and at times colder weather in Scotland I prefer to use al season tyres all year round - and on my previous cars my preference was for Continental all weather of winters. Could not buy Continental's in sizes I require for my BMW 640d so chose these Vredestein Quatrac Pro after considerable research - and have not been disappointed. These are excellent tyres, grip the road well in al conditions (but no snow here yet) and are much more comfortable and quiet that previous Pirelli Z run flats - indeed so much so that a friend to whom I gave a lift recently asked it my car was electric it was so quiet. In summary - great tyres in all conditions, and it will be interesting to see what tyre wear it like over the coming years.
