All season tyres - suitable for all weather conditions
All-season tyres are the perfect combination between summer and winter tyres. All-season tyres impress by their good driving qualities regardless the weather conditions and the road. The specially developed profile of all-season tyres ensures a comfortable drive throughout the whole year. All-season tyres were specifically designed for all weather conditions thus eliminating the need to change the tyres depending on the season. Discover the new alternative to summer and winter tyres: the all-season tyres. We have a wide offer from leading manufacturers at top prices! The all-season tyres designed for winter conditions need to have the "M + S" marking (or M & S, MS). Some models may also have the snowflake symbol. M + S tyres with snowflake symbol meet the higher quality standards.
 
Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

My car has the DSG gearbox and on normal tyres was useless in snow, I fitted these tyres and it was usable on the one occasion we had snow. It’s also better in frosty weather and the tyres give good grip in the dry and seem to be wearing well, very pleased so far

Good all season tyres for a daily use, a little bit weak on snow, but i have mild winter. A good surprise on wet, good aquaplaning safety margin. And with my driving style, the wear in front wheels is still uniformed. The only problem is that these tyres are now very hard to find in France, and there was at 56 euros each on june 2022, 83 euros each nowadays...

Bought these to supplement some identical branded ones with a 2021 date code. The newer tyres are made in India, have much thicker sidewalls, the rubber feels harder and they weigh noticeably more. I've put them on the back and they're ok, but the quality has certainly dropped.

I noted a vibration when over 60 MPH on the motorway, a few days after the tyres were fitted and balanced. i took them for rebalancing, but this did not stop the vibration sensed through the steering wheel. Jacking up the front wheels I found that one tyre had a flat spot about 70mm long and 3 mm deep. Instead of returning this for replacement it was quicker and more convenient to switch the tyre from front to back, the vibration was then not noticeable on the steering wheel. I have had this brand and type for years and this was the first problem.

Quiet and reliable. Roadholding is very good and wear appears low. I had previously fitted two of the same tyre to the rear and this was to complete the set. Very pleased

Really excellent in the dry for an all-season tyre. Very progressive handling, too. Even at the Nordschleife racetrack they were unvelievable. Infinite amount of grip, you can feel your eyes about to exit your head when braking for every corner. Originally on rear axle for approx 2 k miles, no wear at all. Now on front axle, grip and feedback in wet and dry in great, including on gravelly / light muddy patches in country parking areas and in cold weather. Most impressive aspect of the Vredesteins is the directional stability ( steering centring) and also quietness on the front axle compared to the neatly new Nankang all weather tyres that were on beforehand. No snow this year so not tested on snow! Highly recommended.
