All season tyres - suitable for all weather conditions
All-season tyres are the perfect combination between summer and winter tyres. All-season tyres impress by their good driving qualities regardless the weather conditions and the road. The specially developed profile of all-season tyres ensures a comfortable drive throughout the whole year. All-season tyres were specifically designed for all weather conditions thus eliminating the need to change the tyres depending on the season. The all-season tyres designed for winter conditions need to have the "M + S" marking (or M & S, MS). Some models may also have the snowflake symbol. M + S tyres with snowflake symbol meet the higher quality standards.
 
Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Bought these to supplement some identical branded ones with a 2021 date code. The newer tyres are made in India, have much thicker sidewalls, the rubber feels harder and they weigh noticeably more. I've put them on the back and they're ok, but the quality has certainly dropped.

I noted a vibration when over 60 MPH on the motorway, a few days after the tyres were fitted and balanced. i took them for rebalancing, but this did not stop the vibration sensed through the steering wheel. Jacking up the front wheels I found that one tyre had a flat spot about 70mm long and 3 mm deep. Instead of returning this for replacement it was quicker and more convenient to switch the tyre from front to back, the vibration was then not noticeable on the steering wheel. I have had this brand and type for years and this was the first problem.

Really excellent in the dry for an all-season tyre. Very progressive handling, too. Even at the Nordschleife racetrack they were unvelievable. Infinite amount of grip, you can feel your eyes about to exit your head when braking for every corner. Noisy tires. Every day i hear it around 80kmh. Like your car is defect. This all since i have this bad tires. I dont buy this again.

Affordable tires. But the biggest problem is everytime the noise around the 80kmh. Like your wheelbearings are defect. I read more complains about this tire about the noise. China tires.... They promise a lot (extreme low noise in the specs... But in real you buy "crap".

I drive mostly in the city at low speeds however when taking to motorways in the UK I drive at 70MPH and in Europe at 75MPH. The drive is smooth and fuel economy is excellent, tyre wear is good and noise levels within the car is minimal.

Excellent safe and fun. You need to give warning when it won’t arrive for weeks before the customer pays though. I was stuck without something suitable. It’s not acceptable.

I found this tire to be one of the best all round tires available. No matter the weather the car always felt sure footed. My Octavia was the Vrs model so had plenty of horsepower to transmit, and the Cross Climates made easy work of doing that. High speed driving was safe and quiet as was cornering. A fabulous tire! Only regret is the limited sizes because I can't get them to fit my Fabia Monte Carlo Estate else I would be running them on that as well.

The tyres were comfortable and not noisy, but wore out a lot. The grip on wet roads is quite bad, and it was since they were new, but only got worse with wear. In the end had to replace them because the lack of grip in the rainy season.

Used Quadraxers for years on the family cars. Very good on wet, muddy roads and the occasional bit of snow on Dartmoor. Excellent resistance to aquaplaning. The new version us just as good if not better. they do generate a bit more road noise than a summer tyre but so do most if not all winter / 4 seasons types. A small price to pay.

In snow they really show off - very sure with good braking and control. Even when they slip if too much torque applied, they are very controllable. In normal driving in wet or dry they perform well. Have towed caravan too and still maintain performance on front wheel drive car. Only two criticisms - fuel consumption seems a bit higher than before and they wear a bit faster (although it is perhaps a little early to be sure of that one).

Very well when snowing, not so good when snow is on the road much more than 10cm. Much better on dry or wet. No big difference between dry or wet road. Very comfort driving cross curvess with normal speed. I am very satisfied.
